​Film summary: A small tightrope walker boy named Axel crashes in the circus after falling from a height, but an oriental psychic brings his body back to life. The owner of the psychic Karl, obsessed with the idea of creating ideal order in the world, buries the corpse of an orphan instead of Axel, and the boy’s body teaches Russian and trains for espionage activities in the service of the Wehrmacht. Axel becomes a German intelligence officer, a professional of the highest class, and soon appears in his "native" village under the guise of the grandson of the recently deceased Pelageya.
